Find Your Scottish Ancestors through Professional Research

ree

If you’ve hit a brick wall in tracing your ancestors, you may need professional genealogical services. That’s where the Highland Archive and Registration Centre can help!

Based in Inverness, Scotland, the Centre includes a Family History Room with a variety of resources useful to the family historian who is researching Highland roots. The staff in the family history room are experts in the field of Highland and Scottish genealogy. The staff offers Family History Classes over Zoom for both beginners and advanced researchers. Classes cover various core records of Family History research, such as Old Parish Records, Census Records, Statutory Records and a brief introduction to Archival Records.

The Centre has experts on staff who can help you create and expand your family tree, track down relatives and descendants of a known ancestor, and provide contextual research. Family historians Alasdair MacDonald and Anne Fraser can offer you one-to-one consultations, in-person and remotely online. The remote consultations may be conducted over Microsoft Teams or Zoom. They can arrange a time that suits whatever time zone difference. They usually last for one hour and cost £40.00.
